三言两语说说ORACLE DG是什么东西

DG 的作用举足轻重，在高可用的企业级数据库有着非常重要的角色，数据保护、备份、灾难恢复、容灾等很多形容词在oralce数据库中都与它相关。

DG 名字很多，又名数据卫士， 灾难恢复全名oracle data guard
有两种类型数据库
primary数据库 主库通常是生产库也可以是rac
standby数据库 备份数据库也就是从primary数据库的 redo来维护更新，数量是最多9个，同时分为两种类型1逻辑 2物理，区别是一个是用sql来实现一个是用介质恢复来实现，有时两种库完全一样
有三个服务
redo传输
log应用
角色转换
功能都是字面上的，角色转换服务就是当primary库死后可以自动把standby库转换为primary库，同时又引起两人个定义：switchover\failover

三种保扩模式
最大保护：提交事务也要提交standby库，同生死
最高性能：如果网络原因primary库提交后可以异步同步standby库
最高可用性：如果备份库死后主库不会死自动切到最高性能异步同步，同步跟上后又切回最大保护

物理standby数据库
可以认为是block copy,不应用恢复时打开模式一般都是read-only,有时也可以以read-write 前提指定了flashback area ，做数据调试用，用完后闪回，dg自动同步
优点灾难高可用性确保无法预料的灾害也不会丢数据，节省primary库cpu、I/O,绕过sql 级效率最高

逻辑 standby数据库，可以以read-write 模式打开可以任何时候访问逻辑standby数据，优点可以更有效的利用standby硬件资源.可以用于其它业务需求.

在现实中多数还都是应用物理standby

    Hey Eileen did you forget about the busloads of seniors that travelled by the thousands to go to Canada for cheaper prescription medication?? Same drugs, made by the same pharmaceutical companies but half the price. Lets not forget the Canadian online pharmacies that saved seniors money AND the price a of bus ticket. For every rich Canadian trying to jump to the front of the line in Coeur DAlene there were dozens of US seniors travelling to Canada for basic medicines prescribed by their doctors.
